In between takes, Eddie Murphy and I were laughing over the fact that it was his first starring role and a lot was riding on his shoulders. It was also my first time at playing a prostitute. We were both a little nervous, so we ate our lunch together everyday and shared funny stories. Laughter will get you through all the tough times, as Eddie will attest. Everybody needs a lot of laughter in their lives.

In this shot, I was coming down on Eddie for making a lewd sexual remark to my friend, Gloria Gifford. There's nothing like the wrath of a woman who's defending the honor of a devoted friend. Eddie was speechless, but only for a moment.
