VALENTINE’S DAY is just around the corner for all you lovers in the Universe… the simplest things can be the most cherished & adored. It is truly what you can give w/ your creative mind & heart. You don’t need to spend a lot of money. Just think: special & unique.
See this video: a table set w/ roses or a single ROSE, a bottle of champagne, strawberries, cherries, choices of cheese, a box of chocolates, valentine’s heart candies that have messages written on them, a card w/ sentiments of love in your handwriting, a candle w/ a fresh scent, a Romantic Comedy film, sexy background music, a nice massage w/ unscented oil, a nice compliment or two about her/him at an opportune moment. For example: if you paint, paint her something unique & personal. If you write music, write a song. If you play piano or any musical instrument play for her. If there’s a possession of yours that you don’t mind parting with, and you know she would cherish it, present her with that gift.
Use your mind, your heart, your senses… & it’s all FREE. The only thing it costs is your time, which is precious.
I clicked on the video, COOL!!! And uh…hmmmmmm….and it was uh kinda cool looking and um it gave me some good ideas. Can i actually do like they show in the video, do women really like that sort of stuff? I sure would like it if my girl did something special for ME. Why is it always about her? Why can’t it be about me too? Why can’t she do something that i like, – like take me to a football game or, get the grill started for STEAK or buy me a beer.
Hey Zane, you have a good point. Yes, Valentine’s Day should be for both lovers. It’s only fair. You do something for her & she does something for you. If you’re not sure she knows what you want, then communicate in a subtle way what exactly you would enjoy doing for that evening. IE. if she gets you tickets to your fav game, then when it’s over you could surprise her with a romantic present that she would enjoy.
thanks for your prompt reply. But how will i know what she enjoys. Sometimes she is way too shy about things, and what if i can’t read her mind…
Pay attention to her subtle cues. For ex: don’t bring her steak if she’s a vegetarian, don’t buy her perfume if she’s allergic or never wears it. When people don’t wear scents there’s usually a reason. Don’t get champagne if she doesn’t drink. The bottom line is know who she is — her likes & dislikes.
You have 18 days to listen, ask questions & FIGURE HER OUT! Do a little INNOCENT detective work: check out the tunes on her ipod, look through her movies, talk to her friends or her mother. You could make her a collage card of things you think she might like. A girl I know has a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe on her inside forearm. Obviously the girl likes Marilyn. The guy she is dating made her a collage card of several pictures of Marilyn, added a few choice words & she got very emotional. She was so grateful to him for his thoughtfulness & creativity that she kissed him all night & then some… if you know what I mean?
I think that 18 DAYS is enough time to do some “INNOCENT DETECTIVE WORK,” Thank you BRENDA!!!
You know, there is a Valentine’s day movie coming out and I really want my BF to take me. If I ask, I know he is going to roll his eyes… How can I get him to take me without making this into some drama?
I, too, would love to see that film. The trailer looks like a lot of fun. Yes, guys don’t usually like that type film, they prefer action packed & over stimulating testosterone charged flicks. I like those too. What I usually do is compromise. I go to my boyfriends films & he comes to mine. We have an understanding of one another’s needs & wants. I like pleasing him & he likes pleasing me. Once you get to that place, it’s easier to please each other & to be fair.
You can always just ask in your sweet feminine manner. And later, you can do something that he likes. Quid pro quo!!
Thanks! I’m not sure if in my relationship things will be that easy. I’ll try. I wish he would try harder to make ME happy.
Ok guys, that’s it for tonight. I feel like I’m on FB w/ these instant messages. Have a great Valentine’s Day. And let me know how it turns out…! Brenda

A suggestion for Valentines Day
Words touch the soul, and when you express your feelings, emotions and
desires, mere words become music to the heart.
Buy a romantic Valentine card and inside write a poem or sonnet.
Like the one I wrote for a very endearing friend
A vision of your beauty comes to me all the time
Softly and swiftly my mind fills with thoughts of you
I picture your lips softly smiling and the magic of their touch upon mine
I feel the warmth escaping your body as your tenderness embraces me
My affections run deep for your beauty but reaches greater depths for your friendship
As my heart beats, each beat I take like each breath I breathe all for another moment so I can live to see you one more time.
