I just stumbled on your blog today while reading about Anais Nin, and I'm glad I did. You have hit the nail on the head about irresistible men. When I first met my husband he was confident and had a little ego; he walked like he'd already won the war and waiting on new battles; he smelled wonderful, just like sex on a Saturday afternoon; and he was smart and intelligent. I thought he was too good to be true until I realized, as good as he was and is, he is still 'just' a man. A good man. But still a man. His eyes are what sealed the deal for me. The way he looked at me the first night I met him, like he'd known me for years while he prayed for a million more. He saw through me, and he still manages to know exactly what I need and want, just when I want and need it. He makes me laugh. And when he laughs it's like he was born doing it. Natural. He's no saint, not by any stretch of the imagination. There are times when I want to choke the shit out of him, but then the anger subsides, we're making love once again - in more ways than one.
